Long-term contract
The Eligibility Business Analyst evaluates current business processes and identifies potential areas for improvement. They facilitate meetings among internal/external teams, develop business requirements, refine user stories, assist with project planning, execute testing and communicate with the development teams to ensure products meet business/customer needs.
The following is a high level overview of job responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze data to identify specific business opportunities
- Convert business requirements into smaller user stories
- Write clear and well-structured business requirements
- Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with various teams to manage the backlog
- Update and maintain requirements and documentation traceability (Business Requirement
- Document/ADO/ServiceNow)
- Assist with product requirement testing and monitoring reported defects
- Test and evaluate business processes to recommend improvements
- Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to help others understand business performance
- Analyze process deficiencies and bottlenecks to make improvements
- Execute well-thought-out solutions and plans to improve product efficiencies
- Assist with project management responsibilities
- Identify automation opportunities

Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Analysis, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Two or more years of experience in a Business/Systems Analyst or Quality Assurance role
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, verification, and methodology development, deriving requirements and testing
Preferred/Not Required
- Knowledge of Medicaid, SNAP, TANF and other such government programs
- Knowledge of a variety of hardware, software, programming languages and platforms, and operating systems is a plus.
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Knowledge of current IT terminologies, technologies and software development methodologies is a plus.
