BUSINESS ANALYST WITH SOCIAL HOUSING CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR A TEMP POSITION

Job Title: Business Analyst

Hybrid role: 3 days per week Work from home. Tues and Thursday in office.

Day rate: £550 per day

Contract length: End of 2025 with potential to extend


Responsibilities For Business analyst:



• Working with internal stakeholders to identify/ define business problems/ opportunities, understand the current As-Is state and define business requirements to achieve the To-Be state.

• Planning and managing the analysis tasks throughout a project.

• Using a range of best practice analysis tools to elicit, document, analyse and validate functional and non-functional requirements.

• Managing requirements throughout the end-to-end lifecycle, ensuring that there is traceability at all stages.

• Utilising appropriate models to support the requirements capture and validation process.

• Working closely with internal IT teams and external 3rd party suppliers to design, test and implement suitable solutions.

• Supporting detailed test planning and execution activities.

• Managing test execution for small to medium sized projects

• Supporting detailed cutover planning and execution activities.

• Stakeholder analysis and management

• Helping to develop the internal business analysis competency and develop best practices.

Requirements for Business analyst:


• Experience of undertaking a full end-to-end business analysis role on multiple/ complex projects/ programmes

• Strong understanding of best practice business analysis techniques; business process modelling; requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, and validation; requirements traceability.

• Experience in delivery methodologies such as Waterfall

• Proven track record of managing 3rd party suppliers throughout the lifecycle of a project.

• Familiarity with project management tools and techniques and the ability to input into these e.g., risks and issues, change requests

• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, requirement/test/defect management tools desirable

• BCS (ISEB) Diploma in Business Analysis (Desirable)

• IIBA Certification (Desirable)Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field are desirable
