Overview Topco Associates is currently seeking a Business Analyst in support of Sourcing Event initiatives/teams. This position will be a hybrid role, with the successful candidate conducting work in our Itasca, IL office three times per week and virtual twice per week.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Sourcing Team at Topco in delivering accurate, robust, and complete analysis of assigned sourcing events. The Business Analyst will be tasked with managing the timeline of assigned sourcing events keeping the Sourcing Team informed of progress and on target to meet the committed completion date of all sourcing events.
Responsibilities- Assist in supporting Center Store, Fresh, ISP, and Rx group sourcing strategies and goals
- Manage sourcing events (e.g. RFX, price discoveries, vendor negotiations, auctions) to set timelines, milestones, and event strategic and total cost of ownership targets, and execute to those timelines
- Generate and manage e-sourcing tool system projects, tasks, notifications, and communications including administrator responsibilities such as user profile set up and training
- Support team leadership to develop, standardize, implement, and continuously improve a best-in-class Strategic sourcing execution group
- Provide timely, correct, and insightful results analysis for sourcing projects, bid rounds, and auctions
- Assist team leadership in developing and maintaining a project tracking database that shows both the status of initiatives and projected workload
- Assist team leadership in implementing, reporting and continuous improvement of key performance indicators for the Topco sourcing leads
- Provide support and analysis on productivity and other ad hoc projects when needed
- Assist team leadership on training new hires from sourcing teams on what the team does, processes, and benefits to working with the team
QualificationsEducation: - Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Econ, Engineering, or equivalent experience - studies in MIS a plus.
Technical Skills: - Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite at an advanced level
- Knowledge relational database structure (tables, joins, queries, indexing)
- Ability to synthesize multiple data sources and structures quickly and accurately
- Ability to analyze situations and data and develop creative strategies and solutions
Previous Experience: - Two or more years of analytical experience including some sales and/or cost analysis.
- Analytic skills
- Superior ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both orally and in writing, and to make presentations to small and large groups
- Positively interacting with others at all responsibility levels daily
Other Qualifications: - Knowledge of e-procurement software encouraged but not required
- Detail-oriented with the ability to successfully manage time-sensitive issues
- Clearly communicate to others both verbally and in writing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled at handling multiple tasks
- Project management skills
- Professional certification preferred i.e.; Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Travel: up to 5%

Salary Range $65,000 - $75,000/annually
