What you will be doing The
Supply Chain Business Analyst will work collaboratively across Albertsons' value chain. evaluate our supply chain design to meet our strategic objectives, develop network optimization models to help understand how changing business strategies and needs will impact service, and analyze potential solutions that improve our ability to meet our strategic outcomes. The Supply Chain Analyst will perform analysis at a level of detail that accelerates the decision-making process and mitigates risk factors to the organization. The Supply Chain Analyst will communicate complex processes and analysis to cross-divisional stakeholders, including Albertsons' Senior Leadership Team. The position will be based in Fullerton, CA, or one of our main regional offices.
Main responsibilities - Design and deliver supply chain design solutions using the Llamasoft/Supply Chain Guru modeling suite, SQL, and BI tools.
- Interact with internal stakeholders to identify requirements, constraints, and objectives of a given supply chain problem.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of the company's operations. Identify opportunities to optimize the supply chain network design to reduce costs, improve customer service and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Address strategic and operational challenges by applying quantitative modeling and analysis to transportation optimization, strategic network design, inventory management strategies and warehousing/distribution operations.
- Support the development of supply chain network optimization as part of a network modeling team that drives supply chain organization goals and objectives.
- Provide analysis to support recommendations on capital spending decisions as part of network optimization projects.
- Evaluate ideal site locations accounting for total landed cost and customer service requirements.
- Fully document modeling approach, data sources and transformations, assumptions, and
- constraints.
- Review and validate data, build and validate models, run scenarios, and assist in the preparation of modernization project presentations.
The salary range is $82,900 to $119,720 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). If applicable: Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What we are searching for - Supply Chain Exposure
- Experience in or knowledge of supply chain planning and design
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as planning, forecasting, transportation, and inventory management
- Ability to communicate effectively to department teams, cross-functional partners, and upper management
- Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization is performed using
software packages - Understanding of simulation and the differences between optimization and simulation
- Familiarity with network optimization, inventory optimization, product flow analysis,
operations planning, and cost to serve analysis - Database skills strongly desired
- Some programming skills a plus, especially in optimization software packages
- Strong planning skills with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
- Ability to be cost-conscious and understand the levers that impact cost and profitability
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely
- Must be able to analyze large data sets in a way that can efficiently and succinctly convey a message and provide appropriate guidance on actions needed
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs and demands of the business
- Detail oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to implement structured problem-solving techniques

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience data mining and extraction skills like; SQL, Python, R
- Ability to travel overnight domestically: 25%
