Under the general direction of the Director IS Applications Informatics the IS Business Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and will be responsible for overseeing the changes, enhancements, and support of the ERP system and supporting applications, integrations, and BI/Reporting solutions in production environments. This individual will play a key role in streamlining all critical business processes by providing advanced process analysis, knowledge of ERP system, formulating business requirements and conducting business use cases in the areas of Finance, Production, Procurement/Supply Chain, and Inventory & Warehouse Management. The IS Business Analyst will apply analytical, communication and problem - solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in a timely manner. In addition, this individual will also be responsible for identifying and implementing the ERP system and other supporting application improvements to optimize performance and uptime in a manner consistent with organizational goals and industry best practices. Other duties as assigned.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


• Serve as a primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ERP system, interfaces, and BI/Reporting solutions


• Maintain security administration of the ERP system & BI reports and ensures users have proper access levels to the appropriate functionality


• Maintain systems, applications, interfaces and BI solution's setup, parameters, and configurations


• Analyze and understand initial business requirements and translate them into problem statements and functional design documents for implementing system changes and development of new features


JOB DESCRIPTION


• Analyze system and application issues and determine effective courses of action to improve operational functionality
• Develop and maintain training documents and knowledge base articles, and train team members and end-users on new functionalities and features


• Leads evaluation, map/gap analysis, testing, and implementation of new and third party, modules, tools and upgraded software
• Work with development team to conduct end-to-end testing of developments and customizations to ensure high quality deliverables


• Collaborate with end users to identify issues and resolve system issues promptly


KEY COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge, Proficiency of Acquired Skills, Aptitude, Capability


• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology


• Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 Finance and Operations Certifications would be plus


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Analytical and excellent problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify, research, analyze issues to offer practical solutions


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Experience, Education, Certifications, Skills


• Bachelor of Science Degree in areas such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Business Computer Information Systems


• Requirement - must have 4+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX/ Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations system as Functional and/or Business analyst role


• Prior experience in writing SQL queries, designing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI reports preferred.
