What we are looking for:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Client Delivery Services and member of the Client Experience team, The Business Analyst is responsible to support the assessment, documentation, analysis of data and processes and provide recommendations. As someone who is data-driven and focused on continuous improvement, the Business Analyst will work closely with team members to advance the data readiness for a new Client Reporting tool and liaise with other teams to capture data requirements and establish data workflows. The incumbent will work with colleagues and partners to focus on end-to-end data process transformation and optimization that will drive a great client experience.
Your responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of an integrated view/plan for data & analytics, measurements, and controls that will be used in Client Reporting;
  • Analyze and assess stored procedures and structured and unstructured data to support the design and development of the new Client Reporting tool;
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of data flows from back and mid-office systems including trade, performance, risk into the Institutional client reporting database in order to assist in making appropriate recommendations and present results / findings;
  • Support the documentation and preparation of data for Institutional Client Reporting;
  • Test data accuracy and processes, and recommend solutions as part of project implementations;
  • Collaborate with partners across IT, Data Analytics, Performance and Client Reporting to understand, ask questions and propose/implement data/process solutions;
  • Play a role in analyzing data, processes, problem solving and idea generation to challenge the conventional view and influence the direction of progress;
  • Contribute to department and firm projects as a Client Experience data/operations expert across a variety of initiatives;
  • Collaborate with partners and actively leverage network to problem solve and expand own and others understanding and improvement of end-to-end client reporting process, data quality and technology, advancement of our clients' experience.
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering or any other relevant field;
  • financial services environment (asset management experience preferred);
  • Experience in manipulating, understanding, and organizing disconnected datasets;
  • Knowledgeable of Middle Office/Investment Operations' policies and procedures, including but not limited to: trade support, cash management, fund administration, performance reporting and risk analysis, is preferred;
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with relational databases (i.e. SQL, MySQL);
  • Strong analytic and diagnostic skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and project experience;
  • Must be innovative and flexible in responding to a rapidly changing environment.
