Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Business Analyst to support our data governance and management initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams, and a passion for driving business transformation through data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting change management in complex environments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with program and business staff to identify, document, and implement technical solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business needs into functional requirements.
- Develop and deliver verbal and written communications, reports, and presentations for non-technical audiences.
- Support stakeholders in managing organizational change associated with new technologies and updated business processes.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional team discussions to gather requirements and prioritize features.
- Contribute to the development of data governance policies and practices, and ensure business metadata is accurately documented.
- Assist with the adoption and use of data governance tools, such as Informatica Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog, and/or Data Quality.
- Provide support for data governance and quality initiatives in public health program areas (if applicable).
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related area as a business analyst.
- 5 years of experience collaborating directly with program/business staff to implement technical solutions.
- 5 years of experience developing verbal and written communications and presentations for non-technical stakeholders.
- 5 years of experience guiding stakeholders through change management related to technology and business processes.
- 5 years of experience working on cross-functional teams to achieve business and technical objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience documenting business and technical metadata.
- 2 years of experience working with Informatica data governance tools (Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog, and/or Data Quality).
- 2 years of experience working with public health programs or managing public health data assets.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
