Description:

The Bus Driver/General Maintenance role involves adhering to a daily bus schedule to transport residents to appointments and events. The position primarily requires driving a minivan, with occasional use of a 14-passenger bus (approximately once a week). A CDL is not required. In addition, this individual will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of facilities, performing general repairs and preventive maintenance across various systems, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating and cooling, automotive service, and other building systems.


Minimum Eligibility Requirements:


  • Must have a good driving record with a valid Idaho or Washington Driver's License
  • Experience driving a 14-passenger bus or larger vehicles a plus
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
  • Effective and clear communication skills
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance on building systems. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, repairing leaking faucets and other building fixtures
  • Snow removal in winter (this may require operating a small tractor, truck, or ATV)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager
  • Must be able to work respectfully and compassionately with older adults
  • Must pass criminal and drug background tests as required by Bureau of Licensing and corporate policies
Requirements:

Essential Functions:


  • Transports residents to medical appointments, scenic drives, shopping, etc. in a pleasant and safe manner
  • Works cooperatively with other departments
  • Monitors vehicle maintenance for 14 passenger bus and other vehicles
  • Willingness to work on varied tasks to support residents and maintenance team
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Comply with the Idaho State and County Regulations and Orchard Ridge policies and procedures

Training:

Attend all required in-service training

Compensation:

Compensation $18 - $20/hour. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, health insurance benefits, life insurance, 401k
