Job Summary
We are seeking a Personal Trainer to join our successful gym. As a Personal Trainer, you will perform fitness assessments, develop training plans, and provide education on how to use gym equipment safely. Your primary goal is to help clients reach their fitness objectives. The ideal candidate is a great teacher with a passion for fitness.
Responsibilities
Be a fitness leader in the community. Practice what you preach. Live a lifestyle similar to the way you want clients to live theirs. Train 5-15 camps per week, adhering to the Protocol provided by HQ. Use the HQ Portal as a guide to program workouts specific to our gym/community. Lead and motivate clients throughout intense training sessions. Build and maintain a highly engaged member base. Assist training larger camps as Lead 2 during promotional periods or consistently large camp times. Work with the training team to execute on facilitating events and kids camps. Ensure safety of participants in regard to exercise technique and modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels. Attend all trainer meetings or schedule a time to meet with Lead Trainer/Training Manager if unable to attend. After 90 days of employment, complete and document 1 Blue Carpet Trainer Checklist per month (paid at then current camp rate) Continuously provide Feedback to other members of the training and burn ambassador team through the Feedback Loop Use Social Media to keep members engaged and promote brand (highlight camps/members, Facebook live videos, promotional posts, educational posts) with at least one post per shift Convert promotional clients and free trials to members and work with the Studio Manager and Burn Ambassadors to maximize the client experience. Have a high level of understanding and presence on social media. Perform Focus Meetings with a minimum of 10% of the active members. The goal is reaching a minimum 80% of members individually, working in tandem with the other training staff. Have weekly touchpoints with the training staff to align on Protocol/Programming, provide any feedback from clients while assisting them in the moment, and remain updated on current focuses. Return equipment and organize gym at the end of morning/evening camps to keep the gym orderly. Promptly report facility and equipment needs to the Lead Trainer, i.e. damaged equipment, holes in walls, etc.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required
Current personal trainer or fitness instructor certification
Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
First aid and CPR-certified
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
