Role Overview
As a Building Surveyor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and applying for planning and building regulation approvals.
- Crafting specifications for tenders, analyzing tenders, and issuing reports.
- Supporting roles under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 (contract administration experience is highly desirable).
- Managing projects including stock condition surveys and energy performance certificates.
- Assisting with contract administration under various JCT Contracts.
- Conducting inspections to diagnose defects and recommend remedial work.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a consultant building surveyor.
- Knowledge of materials and construction types.
- Experience in preparing specifications and schedules of works.
- Understanding of planning and building regulation processes.
- Site inspection experience.
- Confidence in client and stakeholder meetings.
- Ability to produce detailed reports independently.
- Party wall services experience is advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- MRICS qualification or near completion.
