The Position
This position is responsible for maintaining and advising new projects on the Building Management System while collaborating with the Engineering team to provide necessary documentation, quality system interaction, and performing a variety of highly diverse and complex activities requiring sound planning, organization, judgement, adaptability, and accountability.
This is an onsite role Monday-Friday based at our West Lebanon, NH bioproduction facility.

Essential Functions
- Entry-level programming in PPLC to upgrade graphics and controls for the BMS System and Install PXCM Controllers with supervision and conduct testing
- Core roles include communication, compliance, risk management, and use of current technology
- System Design and Specification
- Contribute to design and specify BMS systems to control HVAC and other Critical Systems
- Contribute to select appropriate control strategies and equipment based on the building's requirements
- Installation and Commissioning
- Work with PM to support the installation of BMS hardware and software
- Work with PM to support the commission the system, ensuring all devices and systems are correctly connected and functional
- Work with PM to conduct system testing and validation to ensure proper operation
Programming and ConfigurationAssist with contractors to develop control algorithms and logic for building systemsAssist with contractors to configure controllers, sensors, and other devices as per design specificationsAssist with contractors to integrate various building systems into the BMS to enable centralized control and monitoringMaintenance and TroubleshootingPerform routine maintenance and updates on BMS hardware and software according to SOP'sTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to BMS operations under the guidance of SME or suppliersEnsure minimum downtime and optimal performance of building systemsAt the direction of the functional area manager (FAM), develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metricsResearches a wide variety of information requests and gathers and compiles reports on BMS dataSupports Deviations (DV) and Change requests (CR) related to engineering dataParticipate in on-call rotations, including weekends and non-business hours, to provide support for critical BMS, EMS systemsPerform all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable SOPs, corporate standards, cGMP's, local, state and federal laws/regulationsIncorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and Code of Conduct values in all activities and interactionsOther duties as assignedQualifications
- Education and Certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field preferred
Work ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent with five (5) years of work-related experience within a building management system, manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance department as BMS operator, and/or administrative support requiredBachelor's Degree with one (1) years of work-related experience within a building management system, manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance department as BMS operator and/or administrative support preferredPharmaceutical, Biotechnology or other regulatory industries experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDevelops professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issuesDetermines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as requiredExercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionApplies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problemsWorks on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factorsBuilds productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactionsRequires demonstrated computer skills and use of Microsoft Office including proficiency with Explorer, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Project, and TeamsRequires demonstrated computer skills with data management systems or data basesAbility to utilize electronic systems as necessary in order to conduct job responsibilitiesAbility to manage multiple prioritiesSome knowledge of PPCL Programing experience is preferredElectrical systems such as 120 VAC, 24 VDC, 480 VACGAMP guidelinesComputer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Understanding standard operating procedures (SOP's)Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required. The ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, push, pull, lift, finger, feel, and grasp. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Ability to move throughout the facility in the performance of duties in proximity of process equipment and active construction sites during project phase. Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analysing; and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. This position may lift up to 10 pounds. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment using hands. While performing this job employee work involves sitting most of the time with walking and standing required only occasionally. Ability to work hours necessary and according to customer needs in a continuous 24/7 operation.
