Job Title: Building Engineer - Engineering & Technical Services
Contract Duration: 4 - 5 Months
Pay range: $33 - 34/hr
Location: Reno, NV
Work Type: Onsite, Monday - Friday, 7 am - 4 pm
Job Summary:
As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
Typical working day:
Check work orders
Preventative Maintenance
Reactive work orders
Could be working directly or assisting contractors
Should be able to get work done with little to no guidance
The Building Engineer will need to be able to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
Candidate will need to be able to lift 50 lbs
Candidate will need to be able to climb a ladder
Required Experience:
10 years in facility maintenance
Level of Education:
H.S. Diploma or GED Trade School preferred
Systems/Software proficiencies:
Microsoft Office Suite, Teams specifically
Basic computer skills
Certifications/Licenses:
EPA License to work with refrigerants
EPA Section 608 Certification
Top Must-Have Skills:
Should be self-driven
HVAC experience - chillers and package units
Repair/maintenance experience vs. installation experience
Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical experience within an industrial environment
Top Nice to have Skills:
Good communication skills
Experience with lock out-tag out procedures
Certification with forklifts and Aerial platform lifts
