Position Title: Building Automation Systems Service Operations Supervisor
Position Location: Charlotte, NC
Our Service Operations Supervisors lead teams that are responsible for performing service work on building automation, fire, life safety, or security systems in commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, and large industrial facilities. Why is this so important? As a Service Operations Supervisor, you are responsible for the overall success of our Specialists and Technicians by coordinating their activities for all installed projects, technical support programs, and time-and-materials (T&M) work which will provide on-time delivery of service contracts and ensure customer expectations are met.
As a Service Operations Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise, train, and mentor the service team; set goals, monitor performance, conduct employee review meetings, schedule formal training, and champion safety compliance
- Determine technical labor loading and appropriate balance of talent to ensure proper resource coverage to meet customer needs; schedule and assign tasks to the team and periodically assist the team with maintenance activities and submittal of required paperwork
- Identify additional chargeable opportunities, including T&M, system upgrades, and service contract expansions, and complete and submit written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity
- Participate in sales-to-service and projects-to-service turnover process, including final project walkthroughs, service agreement scope reviews, and final information turnover to the inspection team
- Ensure contract requirements are met and performed to a high standard and develop customer relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction while ensuring effective and timely communications; support contract profitability through cost containment procedures and processes

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
- Product Line Knowledge (Building Automation Equipment)
- Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- 5-7 + years of experience as a specialist or technician in HVAC/Building Automation Controls industry
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to demonstrate communication and organizational skills
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school
- Experience with Tridium Niagara is a huge plus
- Competitor experience
- 5+ years of experience as a specialist or technician in HVAC/Building Automation Controls
- Experience supervising teams of six more

The pay range for this position is $80K - $110K and the annual incentive target is 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
Siemens Fleet Vehicle Program for Supervisors and Managers

- Siemens Regional Solutions and Services US offers a program to provide financial reimbursement for use of personal vehicles for business purposes. The program is known as Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR).
- FAVR is a tax-free allowance program which offsets the cost of the use of a personal vehicle for business purposes. The reimbursement rate calculation is tailored to the specific driver and is tied to their location, estimated annual mileage, and job function. You must drive a minimum of 5,000 business miles to participate in FAVR. Each reimbursement rate is unique.
- The reimbursement is comprised of a fixed and a variable component. The variable portion is a cents per mile reimbursement. The cents per mile is updated monthly to ensure accuracy of fluctuating market pricing. The fixed reimbursement is calculated using a standard base model mid-size sedan. The calculation accounts for all costs associated with owning and operating the vehicle and prorates the value based on the business use.
- Drivers have the option of selecting any vehicle as long as it meets the minimum criteria:
- Professionally appropriate
- Four door vehicle which is reasonably easy for customers to enter and exit
- In good working condition
- Well maintained
- Free of obvious damage
- Commercial decals and other signage are not allowed on the vehicle's exterior.
- Vehicles may be no older than 5 model years old to receive tax free reimbursements
- Vehicles may be enrolled in the program a 6th year, however, there will be tax implications on the reimbursements received.
- Vehicle when new must have a MSRP of $21,000 or greater, you may purchase a used vehicle, however, the cost of the vehicle when new must meet the requirement. If your vehicle does not meet the requirement reimbursements will be subject to taxes.
