Proficient with the Microsoft Office Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and complete within deadlines Demonstrated communication skills across administrative units Minimum three years of reliable experience working in a professional office environment Maintain confidential information Ability to prepare clear, concise, and grammatically correct correspondence Ability to establish and maintain effective records and files Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, hiring, and purchasing practices

Prior experience in a university setting Familiar with Concur travel Familiar with Texas State software, i.e., Hireright, PaymentWorks, People Admin, and forms Prior experience in planning successful events/meeting Knowledge of Texas State policies and procedures

Responsible for monitoring and administering budgets at the department/office level. Responsible for providing budget change data entry, technical advice and support to department/office account managers.

Prepare and execute Marketplace orders in SAP Research vendor information as requested, i.e., vendor number, contact information, etc. Assist faculty with travel in Concur Assist with hiring of faculty and staff Prepare scholarship awards Prepare student stipends under grants Research open encumbrances over 90 days Reconcile Goods Receipts to items received on purchase orders Contact vendors about damaged, lost/late orders Set up vendors in PaymentWorks system Validate invoices to purchase orders and Goods Receipts/research discrepancies. Research info on promo items and request quotes Attend Financial Services meetings Assist in the coordination of special events and meetings Additional duties as assigned
