Job Summary A Bru Bar Barista is responsible for promoting coffee consumption by educating customers and preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and other baked goods. The Bru Bar also serves a variety of beer, wine, and liquor. Position anticipated to start late April or early May.
Job Duties and Responsibilities - Welcome customers and determine their food and drink interests and needs.
- Educate customers by presenting and explaining the drink menu and answering questions.
- Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques, such as espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
- Generate revenue by attracting new customers and offering additional products.
- Maintain inventories of coffee bean supply, coffee brewing equipment, pastries and other food items, and other supplies.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and reporting needed repairs.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes, and maintaining and improving the appearance of the coffee bar.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education: - High School diploma or equivalent required.

- The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
- Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
