Break Press and Fabrication

About the Opportunity: Job Title: Break Press and Fabrication Pay Rate Range:$19-26/Hour Location:Plymouth, MN Schedule: 1st Shift, M-F, 6am - 2:30pm, O/T may be required during busy times. Position Type:Temp to Hire Break Press and Fabrication Requirements and Qualifications:

1. High school diploma/GED preferred.
2. Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced, custom manufacturing environment.
3. Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
4. Utilizes concepts, practices and procedures of the Fabrication department.
5. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
6. Ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools to assemble customized units.
7. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering documentation and blueprints.
8. Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude as well as being able to complete/pass a basic mathematics test.
9. Ability to effectively communicate well with others in English, both verbally and in writing.
10. Forklift experience preferred.
11. 1+ years experience operating metal fabrication equipment such as a shear, turret, press brake and laser.
12. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
13. Ability to stand for entire shift.

Break Press and Fabrication Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assemble, repair and fabricate custom metal parts by operating mechanical equipment such as shears, automated punches, press brakes, laser and other fabrication equipment.
2. Utilizes designs and plans to assure proper dimensions and tolerances and achieved.
3. Works closely with other team members and the department lead and/or Production Supervisor.
4. Open bundles of materials with cutters, sorting stock, responsible for measuring/confirming size, type and thickness.
5. Communicate and coordinate with team members to sustain a quality finished product that meets or exceed EMI Drawings and specifications.
6. Must be able to measure dimensions and compare them to drawing specifications.
7. Maintains a safe and clean working environment and adheres to procedures, codes and safety regulations.
8. Other duties as assigned to meet customer requirements including mechanical assembly.
