About the Role:
The brand & social media intern will be responsible for performing a variety of support tasks within the brand marketing team, specifically relating to social media and content. This individual will help to manage influencer partnerships, develop content calendars, assist with creating short-form video for Swanson's social channels, manage giveaways and look to industry trends to brainstorm new ideas within the health and wellness space.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assisting and managing process for social media giveaways, working with the brand and merchandising teams to build and fulfill gifts
- Upload, organize and accurately name files in digital asset management software
- Assist with PR gift packaging and distribution
- Make reels and TikToks for company social accounts
- Work with social and blog team on infographics and copy
- Assist with managing influencer partnerships and campaigns
- Assist with content ideas that align with industry trends and overall trending topics on social media
- Pull weekly curated social listening reports
- Helping with PR activations
- Assisting with marketing and brand activations for the local retail store
- Assisting with building calendars for social media posts, including writing captions
- Help with content scheduling in social media platform
- Helping with community management on social
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
- Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of SHP
Competencies Required:
- Ability to write and verbally communicate concisely and with clarity
- Ability to create video content for social (portfolio or past social media content examples required upon applying)
- Ability to collaborate with other departments in a professional manner
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube
Education and Experience:
Enrolled in an undergraduate course for Marketing, Communications or similar field.
