Merlette is hiring a Brand Manager to join us at an exciting moment, as we open our newly established headquarters in New York. This is a unique opportunity to help lead a thoughtful, fast-growing brand through its next phase of expansion.


Reporting to the Vice President of Global Sales, the Brand Manager will be responsible for delivering a consistent and elevated customer experience across all digital and physical touchpoints. This cross-functional role oversees e-commerce operations, manages drop ship and supports wholesale partnerships, leads PR and brand visibility efforts, and ensures high-touch service for both private clients and online customers.

Key Responsibilities


E-Commerce Management

  • Oversee site merchandising and e-commerce operations, ensuring a visually compelling and intuitive experience
  • Lead product launches, including site imports, categorization, and visual merchandising
  • Conduct daily site maintenance for product visibility, inventory accuracy, and performance optimization
  • Track and manage inventory flow to ensure timely availability at the warehouse
  • Audit and resolve issues across PDPs, PLPs, and customer-facing functionality
  • Improve UX through optimized search, related product suggestions, and "wear-it-with" features
  • Collaborate on site enhancements with developers and conduct QA testing across platforms
  • Analyze KPIs including traffic, conversion rate, AOV, return rate, and product performance

PR & Brand Visibility

  • Manage ongoing PR outreach and relationships with publications and editors
  • Coordinate product gifting, asset delivery, and press placements
  • Host seasonal press days and private showroom appointments
  • Ensure consistency in brand storytelling across communications and campaigns
  • Support and execute in-store events and activations

Drop Ship Partner Management

  • Act as primary contact for drop ship partners, handling uploads, inventory sync, samples, and customer support
  • Manage seasonal buys, markdown planning, and performance reporting aligned with brand goals

Wholesale Support

  • Support VP of Sales during market appointments and seasonal line reviews
  • Prepare line sheets, samples, and performance data
  • Conduct outreach to prospective wholesale partners and maintain existing relationships
  • Assist with backend coordination, order tracking, and sales asset creation

Client Experience & Customer Service

  • Host private client appointments in the Tribeca showroom, providing personalized styling and an elevated experience
  • Manage scheduling, inventory coordination, and showroom preparation
  • Respond to all customer inquiries with timely, thoughtful communication aligned with brand voice
  • Offer one-on-one styling support and tailored outreach to lapsed customers
  • Identify customer pain points and communicate insights to internal teams
  • Collaborate with operations and fulfillment teams to ensure seamless service and resolve any order issues

Cross-Functional Operations

  • Make data-driven recommendations for inventory replenishment, markdowns, and product lifecycle planning
  • Coordinate between customer service feedback and marketing/ops teams
  • Work with warehouse and logistics on fulfillment, returns, and adherence to brand packaging standards
  • Manage budgets related to e-commerce and marketing operations, including invoice processing and expense tracking

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing
  • 3+ years' experience in brand management or marketing, ideally in fashion or apparel
  • Proficiency with Shopify; familiarity with JOOR, Apparel Magic, Mirakl, or ShipHero is a plus
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility with technical skills to manage a cohesive brand presence
  • Experience in social media planning, affiliate marketing, digital advertising, and SEO
  • Comfortable coordinating with agencies and delivering compelling campaign assets
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical abilities

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 USD annually, based on experience
