Randy's Flooring is seeking a dedicated Sales Manager in Coralville, IA. This full-time, on-site role involves overseeing daily sales strategies, setting and monitoring company goals, resolving client and staff disputes, and managing claims, credits, and rebates. As a critical leadership position, the Sales Manager directly impacts company success and customer satisfaction.


Applicants must have a proven track record of success in the flooring industry; only candidates with verifiable flooring experience will be considered. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and management skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to achieve organizational goals. This salaried, full-time position requires in-person availability Monday-Friday (8 am-5 pm) with occasional nights and Saturdays.


Requirements:

5+ years of flooring industry experience (required)

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience

5+ years of sales experience

2+ years in a supervisory role with demonstrated ability to meet quotas

Excellent analytical, oral and written communication and managerial skills

The ability to work under stress and be flexible with change

Strong interpersonal skills to deal with Sales people, sub-contractors and customers

The ability to work in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); store system training provided

Positive attitude, results-driven mindset, and a desire to succeed


Responsibilities:

Set sales goals, compare performance & adjust goals as needed

Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them

Manage claims, credits, and rebates efficiently.

Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Recruit, hire, and train sales team

Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to sales team

Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment

Ensure the team is up-to-date on product knowledge and sales technique

Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, suggest corrective actions as needed

Address staff disputes in a fair and effective manner

Provide feedback to marketing and product teams based on market intelligence

Attend managers' meetings and contribute to company-wide initiatives

Perform other functions as necessary or as assigned
