Position Summary:

The Branch Operations Admin is a back-office role, handling all the back-end processing and providing assistance and follow-up created from the Branch Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and initiate correction of member complaints/errors.
  • Prepare weekly share certificate and money market fund rate comparisons.
  • Process Tax Levies and Restraining Notices.
  • Process Post 70 IRA Distributions. (Required Minimum Distribution)
  • Process and maintain files related to death claims.
  • Process Abandoned Property and IRA Reports in a timely manner.
  • Back-end responsibility of on-line account opening ensuring payments are processed correctly and the GL stays in balance.
  • Review of daily reports which include dividend rate changes, no statement fields, insider accounts and monthly reports which included certificate of beneficial owners, business account fees, KPI's
  • Monthly Member Plus reporting.
  • Works with the Operational Team Lead to support the Safe Deposit Box Services. Responsible for all aspects of operational mail including sorting of the incoming, processing of the outgoing and the branch interoffice envelopes. Performs and prepares all online, mailed, or faxed account verifications, address verifications, and mortgage reverifications of statements. Performs and prepares all statement requests including those requested through subpoenas.
  • Supports the Retail Branch, to include but not limited to the following:
    1. Scan member documents.
    2. Pull closed account signature cards.
    3. Process letters from the monthly dormant account reports, close these accounts and pull signature cards.
    4. Process letters from the Below Par account report and mail.
    5. Process and scan address change cards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must keep current with basic knowledge of all credit union programs and must thoroughly cross-sell all credit union products at every available opportunity.
  • Deep understanding of how a credit union functions, and the value it brings to its member's and community. This includes understanding of what a Cooperative is, as that is the business models of all credit unions.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of products and services and educates members of their availability.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of interest rates and dividends, how they are computed and disclosed, and can discuss this with the member.
  • Provides consistent high-quality and memorable service to our members.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and generate grammatically correct written reports, letters, memorandums, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to establish working relationships and interact effectively with a wide range of individuals, members and vendors.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to member issues.
  • Desire to build strong relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and ability to multitask effectively.

Qualifications:
  • High School Degree Required, Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of member service/branch operations experience.
  • Experience within the financial services industry strongly preferred.
  • Bondable upon initial employment and continue to be bondable throughout term of employment.

Physical Requirements:

The functions of the position usually performed sitting but may require some amount of time standing. Some amount of stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, walking, carrying and other movements may be required. Tasks involving working on a computer keyboard, typewriter, calculator, cutting, labeling and taping involve extensive wrist and hand movements. All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without significant risk of injury to themselves or others.
