Job Summary
The Branch Manager at Doggett Toyota Lift of South Texas (San Antonio) is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the branch, ensuring profitability, and leading the Parts, Rental, and Service departments. While this is an operational leadership role, it also requires actively influencing equipment sales by reinforcing the value of Doggett Toyota Lift as a premier dealership. The Branch Manager will drive business growth through exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety while fostering collaboration between service and sales teams to maximize dealership success.

Essential Functions
  • Operational Leadership: Direct and support the Parts, Rental, and Service departments to ensure seamless operations, efficiency, and adherence to company policies.
  • Profit & Loss Management: Oversee financial performance, including revenue growth, cost control, and overall branch profitability.
  • Sales Influence & Dealership Growth: Partner with the sales team to reinforce the dealership's value proposition, ensuring a unified approach in customer interactions to promote long-term relationships and repeat business.
  • Customer Experience & Sales Growth: Strengthen customer relationships by delivering exceptional service across all operational departments while proactively identifying opportunities to drive equipment sales and enhance dealership growth.
  • Team Development & Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA and industry regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Inventory & Fleet Utilization: Monitor and manage rental fleet availability, service equipment, and parts inventory to support operational efficiency and customer demand.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business strategies to improve service performance, rental fleet profitability, and dealership positioning within the market.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate department success and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Vendor & Supplier Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality parts and equipment availability, negotiating favorable terms as needed.
  • Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in material handling, heavy equipment, or industrial services industries.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing profit & loss statements.
  • Ability to drive operational excellence while supporting sales efforts to promote dealership growth.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, industry compliance, and operational best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving business needs.
Qualifications
  • College degree preferred
  • Solid understanding of local market conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Ability to work in both office and industrial settings, frequently visiting warehouse and service areas.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, loud noise, and moving mechanical parts in service areas.
