The Branch Manager is skilled in the management of people and capable of getting work performed through the efforts of others. This person must have an understanding of financial management and inventory control. The duties require operating a business for profit and productivity. Talents in human relations and problem solving are a must. The Branch Manager must be capable of supervising, directing and regulating all activities related to the profitable and smooth operations of a business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain personal contact with customers and all employees on the sales floor to insure customer satisfaction.

Develop annual operating budgets for sales and expense lines and approve complete operating budget, monitoring performance to achieve budgeted results.

Conduct weekly store evaluations with branch employees to determine any action necessary to maintain and elevate branch standards, setting goals and objectives to be reviewed during the next store evaluation.

Maintain inventory levels consistent with actual sales.

Adhere to company practices, rules and regulations, enforcing same for the safety of the employees, and protection of the company's assets.

Insure a regular preventative maintenance is followed and all safety procedures are implemented to guarantee the comfort and security of both our employees and customers.

Delegate, supervise and inspect work performance.

Execute control and establish a command overview of operational interactions, to insure prompt and accurate termination of the sales orders.

Provide training and leadership for employees.

Supervise and establish work schedules and performance of personnel. Paying particular attention to customer service, and the accuracy of invoicing requirements.

Notify the purchasing department of any slow or non-moving inventory items for disposition of said item.

Handle defective and non-stock returns in a timely manner so customer receives credit and does not go into dispute with the credit department.

When necessary resolve customer complaints, returns and credits

Maintain a company action guide book, informing each employee of content.

File reports of accidents, illness, and injury to the Director of Human Resources.

Maintain files, quotes, etc. in an orderly and easily accessible manner

Maintain verbal and written communication with the Director of Human Resources, for the purpose of conforming and protecting the company's intents and purposes.

Maintain the cleanliness of the branch facilities at all times.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform quarterly branch inspections with a member of senior management.

Perform annual reviews.

Maintain fleet vehicles in accordance with State and Federal law.

Represent the company on all local community matters and insure that

representation creates goodwill and promotes community economic development.

Be on call for after hour emergencies.

Monday-Friday (No nights/weekends)

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge in management and operations of wholesale distribution and supply chain.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SXE and telephone protocol. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type.

At least 5-10 years retail sales experience, counter sales, cashier and cash operations experience.

Forklift certified or experience.

Mechanical aptitude and at least 5-10 years general plumbing knowledge.

Additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Salary Description

$60,000.00-$70,000.00 depending on experience
