Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Branch Manager to lead our Anchorage location. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, demonstrated leadership ability, and a hands-on approach to managing operations, staff development, customer relationships, and profitability. This role requires a self-motivated, results-driven professional who can inspire their team and exceed performance targets.


Key Responsibilities

1. Branch Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations including sales, service, rentals, parts, and customer service.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, quality control, and adherence to company standards.
  • Coordinate with headquarters and other branches to ensure smooth logistical support.

2. Sales Leadership

  • Drive revenue through direct sales efforts and oversight of the sales team.
  • Develop and implement branch sales strategies to increase equipment sales, rentals, parts and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.

3. Equipment Expertise

  • Apply working knowledge of light, medium, and heavy equipment to support customer needs, guide inventory decisions, and assist in equipment specification.
  • Ensure the branch team understands the features, benefits, and applications of a wide range of equipment.
  • Support field staff in developing equipment solutions tailored to project and jobsite requirements.

4. Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage branch staff across departments.
  • Set clear goals, conduct performance evaluations, and promote professional development.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-first workplace culture.

5. Financial Management

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Control expenses and drive profitability through cost-effective practices.
  • Ensure timely billing, collections, and compliance with financial procedures.

Qualifications


Minimum 3 years of sales experience , preferably in equipment, construction, mining, telecommunications or industrial sectors.

Minimum 5 years of managerial or leadership experience , ideally in a branch or regional role.

Strong knowledge of light, medium, and heavy equipment , including sales, rentals, and service operations is beneficial

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver's license; willingness to travel locally as needed.

Preferred:

Experience working in Alaskan markets or remote/industrial environments.

Familiarity with oil & gas, construction, or government procurement processes.
