FLSA Status: Exempt Site/Location: Sandusky Middle School Reports to: Athletic Director Date: 03/20/2025 POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for assisting the head coach of the Track program.
- Coaching, instructing, and performing other duties assigned by the coach and or Athletic Director necessary to the development of the individuals and the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists the head coach with planning and teaching student athletes the rules, techniques, and equipment to become a better track athlete.
- Assists and directs individual and group practice activities as assigned by the head coach.
- Monitoring student athletes during practices and competitions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous coaching experience is preferred.
- Experience in track and field and track and field techniques is essential.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- The coach must have completed or complete a mandatory coaches certification class under the Virginia High School League.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimal travel may be required to and/or from sporting events within neigboring localities.
