Bookkeeper who is proficient in
Paycom to handle payroll, financial recordkeeping, and light AP/AR functions.
Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will work closely with the client's leadership team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and payroll processing. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and familiar with small business accounting practices-especially within the
Paycom platform.
Responsibilities:- Manage and record daily financial transactions, including A/P and A/R
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements with general ledger accounts
- Process payroll bi-weekly through Paycom, including any updates to employee records
- Handle employee onboarding/offboarding and time tracking in Paycom
- Ensure payroll tax compliance and support year-end reporting
- Generate periodic financial reports and summaries for internal use
- Support the monthly close process and coordinate with external accountants
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files
Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Solid bookkeeping experience, preferably supporting small businesses
- Strong proficiency with Paycom payroll
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Understanding of payroll and financial compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
