What You'll Do as the Accounting Specialist:

  • Manage daily accounting tasks including bill imports, payments, and vendor communications
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and track invoices related to public funding, event sponsorships, and donor gifts
  • Ensure expense accounts are balanced and records are up-to-date and audit-ready
  • Run payroll for a staff, including union payroll
  • Maintain clear, organized financial records and assist with internal reporting and external audits

Preferred Qualifications: Accounting Specialist
  • Proven ability to manage and reconcile financial records independently
  • A proactive mindset and ability to spot discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic setting
