This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a solid grasp of accounting systems and hands-on experience in accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and invoicing for grants and sponsorships.
What You'll Do as the Accounting Specialist:
- Manage daily accounting tasks including bill imports, payments, and vendor communications
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and track invoices related to public funding, event sponsorships, and donor gifts
- Ensure expense accounts are balanced and records are up-to-date and audit-ready
- Run payroll for a staff, including union payroll
- Maintain clear, organized financial records and assist with internal reporting and external audits
