Bookkeeper - Fantastic Non-Profit Our client, a well-respected nonprofit organization, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in NE Portland. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is detail-oriented and experienced in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing daily accounting functions, including bill imports, payments, invoicing, and payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have experience with public grants, event sponsorships, and union payroll. Additionally, this role will involve transitioning financial records to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeper - Import bills and process bill payments in a timely manner
- Oversee basic accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions
- Handle invoicing for public grants, event sponsorships, and gifts
- Balance expense accounts and ensure accurate financial records
- Process payroll for 16 employees, including union payroll, using GNSA
- Transition financial data from to QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
- Assist with financial reporting and audits as needed
