Bonder Metal or Composite 3 - 2nd shift with Security Clearance

Seeking an Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) Machine Operator to support our advanced manufacturing and composite fabrication efforts within the Advanced Composite Center in El Segundo, CA. As part of a high-performance team, you'll work in a fast-paced environment alongside manufacturing engineers, and composite technicians, to bring cutting-edge technologies to life. Bonder Metal or Composite 3 Responsibilities: Machine setup and Operation:
Set up and calibrate the VIPER machine according to job specifications
Load materials, such as carbon fiber or resin pre-impregnated tapes,
Programming and Execution:
Interpret engineering drawings, layup sequences, and machine programming.
Monitor automated fiber placement process and adjust parameters as needed to ensure precision.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect finished parts for defects like gaps, overlaps.
Record process parameters
Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance, such as cleaning the machine/components.
Troubleshoot issues during operation and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols when operating high-precision machinery. Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2 years of experience with composite manufacturing and or automated machine operation/ NC automation/ machine operation

• Operate and maintain an automated fiber replacement machine, the set up; calibration and programming to produce high precision composites parts

• Basic computer skills, knows how to set-up cutters and other automated systems, some composite experience Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient (1 year of experience) in CNC programming and trouble shooting

• Knowledge of composites material, resins systems, curing processes
