Position:

Abby's Catering is looking for a CASR (Customs Approved Store Room) Clerk to support our company's bonded warehouse operations. You will receive, input, organize, export and manage all CBP regulated documentation related to bonded materials.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Essential functions:
  • Management of all related documents pertaining to bonded shipments imported and exported.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations in accordance with CBP.
  • Work closely with the teams to ensure all bonded items are properly imported, stored, rotated, and exported.
  • Alert overstock and shortages to Warehouse Manager, Account Manager, and Director of Operations.
  • Work closely with the Account Manager to ensure all airline information regarding bonded shipments is properly documented and advised.
  • Familiarize with all airline EQ parts and codes being able to quickly identify all items.
  • Check incoming deliveries to make sure they are complete and match the order sheet, delivery note or packing list and QA requirements.
  • Alert Director of Operations of shortages and discrepancies within deliveries, documenting such shortages collecting signature of delivery driver, number plate, trucking company's name, date, time etc.
  • Return merchandise if damaged, wrong item, wrong count, etc. and keep proper return documentation to provide accounting for further follow up.
  • Assist in conducting exact and correct inventories as requested by Warehouse Manager, Account Manager, and Director of Operations.
  • Making sure that all needed Custom (CBP) documentation for airline shipments are received and kept, archived and organized so CBP paperwork can be completed correctly
  • Require duplicates (from broker or airline - via Director of Operations) if airline delivery Custom paperwork is incomplete.
  • Learn and complete VSIE process within the required frequency and with highest accuracy.
  • Report to Director of Operations when VSIE documents are ready to dispatch to CBP and present for cross check.
  • Keep a copy of all closed VSIEs and archive for future reference.
  • Deliver closed VSIE paperwork to CBP and get receipt.
  • Ensure that the available office machines, other tools, transportation carts and other hardware are well maintained and will long last.
  • Alert Director of Operations when repairs, replacements or new EQ is needed.
  • VSIE (Vessel Supplies for Immediate Exportation) familiarity.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Manager in regards to bonded equipment management, (import, delivery, pick-up, export, inventory, IMS).
  • Bonded area:
  • Maintain VSIE process and all related documentation on highest accuracy level.
  • Meeting all timelines for the VSIE process, never falling behind

Requirements

Requirements, but not limited to: This position requires flexible work schedules within a 24/7 work environment. The airline catering industry is a seasonal business and certain peak times of the year are black out periods for PTO (paid time off), e.g. year end, summer. This position requires experience in Leadership, Management, demanding Accountability and a high degree of Training and Teaching abilities, to lead the entire team to success ( highest product quality, highest productivity output, complying with all food safety rules and regulations, as well as direct relations with CBP, CBP officers, Airline Brokers, and Supply Chain personnel).

Qualifications

The passion for perfect order, cleanliness and attention to detail is a must.

Sense of urgency and the ability to co-ordinate quick solutions to ensure supply chain.

Strong sense of workplace safety, OSHA knowledge or certification is a plus.

ServSafe certification or the equivalent required.

Hands on mentality is a prerequisite.

3+ years of warehousing / receiving / airline catering / supply chain experience required.

Computer literacy for all MS Office products

Ability to manage and create EXCEL spreadsheets and files.
