Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Building Automation Sales Executive to join our team serving the Greater Utah Area. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional with a proven track record in building automation systems (BAS), control systems integration, and energy performance management systems (EPMS). The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strong relationship builder, and skilled at identifying and closing new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships.
About the Role
The Building Automation Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth in commercial and mission-critical facilities. This role requires strong technical knowledge of building automation technologies, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Execution
Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within the building automation systems market.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to penetrate target accounts and expand market share.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and project profitability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
Customer Relationship Management
Deliver exceptional customer service to existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
Proactively identify and resolve customer needs and concerns.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry partners and influencers.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and generate leads.
Business Development
Identify and pursue new market segments and product offerings to drive additional revenue.
Contribute to the development of sales strategies and marketing campaigns to promote services and products.
Reporting & Analysis
Track and report on sales activities, progress, and outcomes.
Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and updates for management.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of proven sales success in Building Management Systems (BMS), Control Systems Integration, or EPMS in mission-critical or commercial facilities.
Demonstrated success in hitting and exceeding sales targets in a technical sales environment.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of building automation technologies and their application in commercial and mission-critical environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
Experience with CRM software and Bid Tracer is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
Requirements:
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit job sites.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
