Blood Bank Specialist need in Northern Vermont - Permanent Hire, Day shift - CLICK AND APPLY NOW. -BS degree is required
-May be expected to cover other departments such as Hematology, Urinalysis, and Chemistry
-Prior Blood Bank experience needed in addition to:
- Type & Screen and crossmatching units
- Aggressive Inventory Management
- Advance Antibody Identification and Antigen Typing
- Experience in both tube and gel technology
- Development and maintenance of policy and procedure
- Training of new staff
- Serving as technical resource for technologists and providers
- Oversight of departmental QA/QC/PM and Quality Improvement initiatives
- Accreditation standard and participation in CAP inspections
