We are currently looking for a Full Time Biomedical Technician II to join our Biomedical Engineering Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary:

Provides repairs, calibrations, and maintenance of all medical equipment located within the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health.

Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of routine and complex tasks associated with the installation, service and calibration of biomedical instrumentation
Installs, maintains, services, troubleshoots and calibrates a variety of devices by interpreting engineering and vendor information, schematic diagrams and graphic illustrations
Diagnoses and corrects system and equipment malfunctions by making repairs or replacements to ensure that biomedical instrumentation meets manufacturer specifications
Performs preventive maintenance and electrical safety inspections
Observes and evaluates machines in operationfor signs of wear or in need of repair and makes recommendations to operators of equipment as to proper use and care of equipment
Maintains code requirements for all biomedical equipment and conformance of codes regarding all new equipment prior to first use
Assists in the ordering and maintenance of supplies and parts
Monitors work done by outside contractors to ensure requirements and codes are met
Assists in the evaluation of new equipment for purchase consideration
Demonstrates and instructs correct operation of equipment to medical personnel
Observes safety, fire and housekeeping regulations
Document the introduction of incoming biomedical equipment
Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
Greets and engages with a smile
Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types

Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics

Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, eg MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.

2 years directly related experience

Associates Degree in directly related field
