POSITION OVERVIEW:
H. Stephen Jones & Associates, Inc (HSJ) is looking for a detail-oriented BIM Specialist with a focus on low-voltage systems to join our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of BIM experience working on large institutional projects and be familiar with BIM execution for projects involving structured cabling, AV, security, and building technology systems. This role plays a critical part in supporting our design team by developing accurate and coordinated 3D models and construction documents that align with client requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage BIM models for low-voltage systems using Revit and other design tools
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to produce coordinated construction documents including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Participate in and support BIM coordination with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural)
- Implement BIM standards, templates, and workflows as defined by the firm or project requirements
- Maintain model accuracy and ensure compliance with client BIM execution plans and company standards
- Assist in the creation of project-specific content, families, and schedules as needed
- Provide support to project teams during construction, including updating as-built models and documenting field changes
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 4+ years of experience in BIM modeling, drafting, and coordination within a design or engineering firm
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience working on low-voltage systems projects
- Understanding of construction documentation, BIM workflows, and coordination processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Familiarity with BIM standards such as LOD specifications, COBie, and ISO 19650.
- Exposure to scripting tools like Dynamo or add-ins like Ideate a plus
