Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator to support the design and coordination of commercial mechanical systems including HVAC, ductwork, plumbing, and piping. This individual will play a key role in ensuring seamless 3D modeling and coordination using Revit and Navisworks, with an emphasis on clash detection, constructability, and prefabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models in Revit for commercial mechanical systems
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability
- Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks, coordinating with other trades to avoid conflicts
- Produce detailed shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built models
- Support prefabrication and field installation efforts with accurate and efficient modeling
- Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP documents to integrate mechanical systems
- Maintain and enforce BIM execution plans and adherence to project standards and LOD requirements
- Provide BIM support and training to project teams, promoting efficient workflows
- Serve as a bridge between design and field operations to ensure real-world constructability
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial MEP, GC, or engineering environment
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Excel, and Bluebeam
- Strong understanding of MEP coordination, fabrication detailing, and construction documents
- Experience with clash detection, BIM standards, and LOD development
- Knowledge of fabrication and field installation processes
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse project stakeholders
- Experience with AutoCAD MEP, BIM 360, and similar platforms is a plus
