Job Summary: The BIM/CAD Revit Technician MEP is responsible for producing construction documents for mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems. This role will focus on a discipline (Plumbing, Electrical, or Mechanical) while also serving as a resource across the Engineering Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Design:
- Applies appropriate industry and departmental design practices to provide detailed and coordinated building modeling.
- Update and maintain Revit templates.
- Build and manage Revit families for projects
- Project Management:
- Meets project milestones and deadline schedules by collaborating with project team members integrating MEP systems with the architecture and other engineering systems.
- Assist in managing AVAIL for optimized content organization and accessibility.
- Assist in new project setup for both in-house and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Understand project requirements, scope of work, and deliverables to ensure alignment with objectives.
- Coordinate work sharing within the team and collaborate on design efforts with other disciplines.
- Ensure outputs are professional, adhere to prevailing standards, and meet project specifications.
Education: Associate's or technical degree
Relevant Experience & Training:
- 1-3 years of BIM/engineering design experience.
- Understanding of building codes and design processes.
- Proficient in MS Office, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to visualize architectural and MEP elements for proper detailing & coordination.
- Possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization, detail, and precision.
- Demonstrated knowledge of or interest in MEP systems and their installation.
