LEGAL SERVICES Billing Coordinator
My client is a fast-paced and client-focused law firm with offices in West Palm Beach is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Coordinator to join our team and support the firm's billing and accounts receivable functions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process client invoices in accordance with firm guidelines and billing cycles
- Review time entries for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate billing rates
- Work with attorneys and staff to ensure timely submission and approval of billable hours
- Monitor and follow up on unpaid invoices and coordinate collection efforts
- Handle billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally
- Assist with electronic billing (e-billing) portals and ensure compliance with client billing guidelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to billing and A/R
- Perform other administrative and accounting duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in legal billing or law firm accounting preferred
- Familiarity with legal billing software (e.g., Timeslips, Clio, PracticePanther, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Word
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism with confidential information
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus
