Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and execute all aspects of the billing process including editing attorney time, posting time, generating pre-bills, and processing final billing.
2. Review pre-bills in accordance with client guidelines and ensure all bills are submitted in a timely manner.
3. Create and maintain billing rates, ensuring they are updated and accurately reflected in our systems.
4. Set up new files on electronic billing sites, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
5. Submit invoices and follow up on any discrepancies or issues.
6. Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline billing processes.
7. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information.

Qualifications:

1. Prior experience working as a billing specialist in a law firm.
2. Proficiency in financial software and platforms, with a strong understanding of electronic billing processes.
3. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle large volumes of data.
4. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
6. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
7. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
