The Billing Supervisor will manage the daily operations of the firm's billing department, supervise billing staff, and work closely with attorneys and clients to resolve billing issues. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure that all billing processes are accurate and timely. The Billing Supervisor will also be responsible for implementing best practices to streamline the billing process and improve collection rates.

Our fast-growing law firm is seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to utilize your skills and experience in a challenging and rewarding environment. The Billing Coordinator will play a crucial role in our financial operations by managing and executing all aspects of the billing process. If you possess a strong analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for precision, then we would love to hear from you. Law firm experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
As a Billing Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing and executing all aspects of the billing process from client intake to final invoice generation.
2. Coordinating with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff to ensure accurate and timely billing.
3. Reviewing and editing pre-bills in response to attorney and secretary requests.
4. Applying retainer funds as directed by attorney.
5. Processing write-offs following the firm's policy and approval process.
6. Managing electronic billing systems and coordinating with e-billing team to ensure all e-bills are submitted timely.
7. Resolving billing issues by coordinating with the client, attorney, and accounting team.
8. Providing detailed reports on billing activity to upper management.
9. Identifying improvements to the billing process and implementing changes as needed.
10. Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and ethical standards related to billing.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Billing Coordinator position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar billing role, preferably within a law firm.
2. Demonstrated supervisory experience, with a strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
3. Proficient in billing software and other accounting systems.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve billing discrepancies effectively.
8. A solid understanding of legal billing practices and regulations.
9. A high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
