Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain strong customer relationships while collaborating with team members.
- Oversee delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, and resolve any related delivery issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients to manage accounts receivable and work alongside the credit department.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through various networks, leads, and market intelligence.
- Stay informed about market trends, product innovations, and competitor activities to better serve our customers.
- Travel to meet with existing and potential customers, and perform physical tasks related to product delivery, including lifting and carrying items up to 75lbs.
Supervision: No direct reports.
Relationships: Internal: Collaborate with District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising, and Marketing.
External: Engage with customers, vendors, and potential clients.
Work Environment: This position involves frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions, visiting clients in the field.
Minimum Qualifications: - 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- Experience in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong ability to build relationships and effectively cold call for new business.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a competitive and results-driven mindset.
- Ability to problem-solve, stay organized, and negotiate.
- A team-oriented mentality, ready to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools like Salesforce.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
Physical Requirements: You must be able to engage in various physical activities as specified:
- Regularly stand, walk, drive, and sit.
- Frequently lift/carry up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally stoop, squat, kneel, bend, and perform manual dexterity tasks.
