Bilingual Japanese-English Administrative Coordinator to provide translation services, HR administrative support, and cultural assistance for our Japanese associates and executives. This role is crucial in facilitating smooth communication and operational support between Japanese and English-speaking team members while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: - Translate a variety of written and verbal communications between Japanese and English.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department and executive leadership.
- Assist with ISO 9001:2000 training and support the onboarding and integration of Japanese associates.
- Help Japanese staff understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for Japanese management personnel.
- Prepare and manage documentation for Japanese employees on U.S. assignments.
- Support Japanese employees and their families with housing, schooling, and training-related needs.
- Participate in family-related meetings and act as a liaison as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: - Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (spoken and written) is required.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Previous experience in HR support or administrative coordination is preferred.
- Understanding of Japanese culture and business etiquette is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Additional Information: - Occasional travel or flexible hours may be required based on executive and associate needs.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Prior experience supporting Japanese expatriates or working in a bilingual environment is highly desirable.
- Background in Engineering or Quality Assurance (QA) is a plus.
