Position: HR Coordinator

Location: Newburyport, MA

Contract: 3+ months

Pay: $25-29/hr


Our client looking for a Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator (Spanish) to support daily HR operations and foster an employee-centered workplace. This role is integral to managing HR processes, overseeing hourly recruitment, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys balancing both administrative and strategic HR responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly positions, including job postings, screening, interviews, onboarding, and orientation
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing support in both English and Spanish
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper data entry in HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems
  • Assist in HR programs such as benefits enrollment, training, engagement surveys, audits, and internal communication initiatives
  • Prepare and manage documentation related to new hires, terminations, and employee status changes
  • Ensure all HR policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Coordinate with staffing agencies to meet temporary labor demands
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR generalist or support role, preferably within a manufacturing or production setting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (experience with UKG/Ultipro is a plus)
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is a bonus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic workplace
