Field Safety Specialist

Location: San Marcos, TX (Up to 75% Travel Required)

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 (Exempt)

What You'll Do:

  • Implement Tasman's comprehensive Health and Safety Program across projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership to pre-plan safety on job sites.
  • Prepare and review Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) and Safe Work Plans.
  • Conduct field observations, safety audits, and ensure compliance on multiple projects.
  • Deliver and coordinate safety training for field staff.
  • Support incident investigations and provide expert guidance.
  • Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Track evolving federal and state occupational safety regulations.
  • Lead quarterly safety meetings, safety stand-downs, and regular safety breaks.

Who You Are:

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (Required)
  • Experienced: 5-7 years of health and safety field experience, ideally in construction.
  • Communicator: Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Licensed: Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively (up to 75%).
  • Committed to Excellence: You don't compromise when it comes to safety.

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working in construction or engineering environments.

Work Environment: This role demands flexibility - you'll be working both outdoors on project sites and indoors in an office setting. Physical activity like lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally is required.

Work Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). Schedules may vary based on project needs.
