Bilingual Customer Support Specialists to join our FHA Resource Centers team. This position will provide essential support to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in fostering strong, sustainable, and inclusive communities through quality affordable housing.
As a Customer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting renters, tenants, property managers, as well as homebuyers and homeowners. Your expertise will guide them through their rental needs and home ownership queries. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of HUD rental assistance programs and FHA Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage programs while delivering outstanding customer service.

Available Opportunities: - Full-time (32 - 40 hours per week)
- Part-time (25 - 31 hours per week)
- Shift from 9:35 am - 6:05 pm MT in Albuquerque, NM (subject to change based on customer needs)
- Opportunities for split shifts, with management approval.
Responsibilities: - Respond to calls and emails from the public regarding housing and FHA mortgages.
- Use a comprehensive knowledge base and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to address customer requests.
- Provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment, including handling customer complaints effectively.
- Document customer communications within an internal database.
To Thrive in This Role, You Will Need: - The ability to effectively navigate various computer systems and applications.
- Strong time management skills and reliability.
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Teams).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
- Keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.
Required Qualifications: - A high school diploma or GED certificate.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a contact center or telephone customer service environment.
- Capability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, including a credit check and background investigation.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a call center with omnichannel service capabilities.
- Background in rental property management or mortgage servicing, especially in complaint handling.

Pay for this position is $18.00 per hour. This position complies with the Service Contract Act and meets wage and health benefit requirements as dictated by law.
