Bilingual Customer Service Representative & Brand Ambassador CLYNK is a circular economy solutions provider, making it easy for retailers, brands, redemption operators, and everyday people to recycle through our consumer-centric "bag-drop" technology solutions. As the fastest-growing mode of beverage container redemption, we support large-scale recycling across states with Deposit Recovery Systems (Bottle Bills) and Producer Responsibility Organizations.
Summary CLYNK is seeking a
Bilingual (Spanish) Brand Ambassador & Customer Service Representative to play a critical dual role in customer engagement and support. This position combines in-person outreach at Connecticut Stop & Shop locations with digital and phone-based customer service. You'll educate the public about CLYNK, assist customers with sign-ups and technical support, and serve as a key point of contact for both individual users and fundraising groups.
This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about sustainability, skilled at customer service, fluent in Spanish and English, and excited to be both out in the community and behind the scenes solving customer issues.
Brand Ambassador Functions - Actively promote CLYNK's brand and services at Stop & Shop locations and community events.
- Educate customers on the program's benefits and provide guidance for a seamless user experience.
- Assist customers with CLYNK account sign-ups and demonstrate the use of our mobile app, kiosk, and sustainability station.
- Answer general customer questions and ensure a positive interaction.
- Set up and manage promotional tables at events, supporting retail partners in the initial deployment of the program.
- Distribute marketing materials and create an engaging atmosphere for customers.
- Educate the public on sustainability and recycling practices while showcasing how CLYNK's model supports these values while simplifying and streamlining the redemption process.
- Travel between store locations on a rotational basis, providing regular updates on event participation, customer interactions, and program feedback.
Customer Service Functions - Respond to inbound calls and digital messages from English and Spanish speaking customers.
- Guide users through redemption procedures, troubleshoot account or app issues, and answer Bottle Bill questions.
- Support CLYNK to Give participants (schools, nonprofits, fundraisers) in their recycling efforts.
- Accurately log customer interactions in CLYNK's customer service software.
- Assist with Spanish/English translation of marketing and educational materials as needed.
Qualifications - Bilingual in Spanish and English- fluent in both spoken and written communication
- 1 + year(s) of customer service or public-facing experience (retail, promotions, call center or community outreach)
- Outgoing, personable, and comfortable engaging with diverse community members
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Strong computer skills (CRM systems, Microsoft Office and email)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled
- Must have a smart phone (for mobile app demonstrations)
Additional Requirements - Pre-employment Screening: Professional reference check, background check and motor vehicle record check.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, comfortable working in variable outdoor weather conditions year-round, ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Schedule Availability: Full-time, in-person role (not remote). Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled.
- Location: In-person at workspace in Bristol CT. Frequent travel around CT to store locations to support brand expansion (milage reimbursement provided).
