POSITION SUMMARY:
The BI Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining advanced data solutions, especially in Power BI. This role focuses on understanding business needs and deploying efficient, consumable models for end users via Azure and the Power BI service. The BI Engineer will develop and maintain complex semantic models, create advanced DAX calculations, and collaborate with end users to deploy solutions optimized for performance, scalability and reusability.

Salary range for this position is $119,078.70 - $139,216.74 with a progressive benefit package.
Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.
- Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
- Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
- Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
- Ensures confidentiality of member information.
- Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Designs, implements and maintains enterprise-wide data models optimized for performance in Power BI
- Creates advanced DAX calculations and measures to meet specific business requirements
- Develops and maintains Power Query (M) transformations to shape data for optimal use
- Collaborates with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective BI solutions
- Implements best practices for Power BI report and dashboard design
- Optimizes Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and user experience
- Supports the deployment and maintenance of Power BI content in the Power BI service
- Assists in the development of documentation and training materials for end users
- Stays current with Power BI features and best practices
- Admins Power BI/Fabric capacity
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or related field
- 4 to 6 years of experience in business intelligence, with a focus on Power BI
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Power BI Desktop and Power BI service
- DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
- M (Power Query Formula Language)
- SQL
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques specific to Power BI
- Experience with Power BI Dataflows and Datasets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
- Financial services industry experience preferred
- Prefer experience with Azure Analysis Service
- Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate a plus
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics integration would provide an edge
Reporting RelationshipThis position reports to the IT Director Data Services and Development.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position is not responsible for the supervision of others.
