BI Developer with Security Clearance

OVERVIEW: We are looking for a talented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with a strong background in creating dashboards and user interface (UI) improvements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing interactive dashboards that provide critical insights and enhance decision-making processes. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure that data visualizations are not only insightful but also intuitive and user-friendly. GENERAL DUTIES: Design, develop, and maintain visually compelling and user-friendly dashboards using Power BI, Qlik, or similar BI tools. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for dashboard design and data visualization needs. Optimize dashboard performance, ensuring fast load times and responsive interactions across multiple devices. Continuously improve the user interface (UI) of BI solutions, focusing on usability, accessibility, and aesthetics. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement BI solutions that support strategic goals. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards by implementing robust data validation processes. Provide training and support to business users on dashboard functionality and self-service BI tools Implement best practices in data visualization and storytelling to enhance data comprehension for non-technical audiences. Monitor BI solutions to ensure reliability and take proactive steps to resolve issues or implement improvements. Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in BI tools, data visualization techniques, and UI/UX design principles. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field or equivalent years' experience. Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, with a focus on dashboard development and UI improvements. Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik, etc.). Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and their application in dashboard design. Solid knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation. Ability to translate complex data sets into clear, concise, and actionable visual insights. Experience working with data warehouses, relational databases, and data integration processes. Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
