Job Summary:
About the Role:
Join a leading biopharmaceutical client's team as the BI & Data Warehouse Support Lead, providing onsite leadership and operational support for critical business intelligence platforms. This client-facing role leads an offshore team, manages production support, and handles platform administration across Qlik Sense, Snowflake, and Talend.
While the primary focus remains on Qlik Sense BI support and data warehouse operations with strong ETL and SQL foundations, the candidate will actively identify areas for process improvement, automation, and data quality enhancements. They will collaborate with dedicated AI teams to explore and implement AI-driven solutions aimed at optimizing commercial data operations-however, this is a collaborative support function, not an AI development or data science role.
What You'll Do:
- Lead day-to-day support operations including ticket triage, SLA management, root cause analysis, and stakeholder communication.
- Administer and support Qlik Sense, Snowflake, and Talend environments.
- Coordinate and mentor the offshore support team.
- Handle ad hoc business requests and data issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and data quality enhancements.
- Collaborate with AI teams to support AI-driven operational initiatives (optional, collaborative role).
What We're Looking For:
- Strong hands-on experience with Qlik Sense administration and support.
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn Snowflake and Talend administration.
- Solid foundation in SQL, ETL, and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience supporting BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense-candidates with strong BI support experience on Power BI/Tableau who have past Qlik Sense exposure and are willing to ramp up are encouraged to apply.
- Proven track record in production support and client-facing roles.
- Excellent communication skills and offshore team leadership experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BI support and data warehouse operations, with at least 3 years specifically in Qlik Sense administration and support.
- Strong expertise in SQL, ETL processes, and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience with Snowflake and Talend administration is preferred or a willingness to quickly learn these platforms.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor offshore teams in a client-facing environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of AI initiatives is helpful but not required; this role focuses on BI support rather than AI development.
Work Location:
This role follows a hybrid working model. Strong onsite presence is required to lead the offshore team and engage directly with client stakeholders.
