We are seeking a visionary Director of Beverage to lead the beverage strategy and execution for a highly anticipated lifestyle hotel opening in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader with a bold, creative approach to cocktail development, a deep understanding of the LA nightlife scene, and a strong foundation in vendor relationships and cost control. The Director of Beverage will oversee all beverage-related programming across the property's bars, restaurants, in-room offerings, and event spaces, shaping a beverage identity that is as dynamic as the city itself.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of the property's beverage program, from concept to execution, across multiple outlets.
  • Develop innovative, trend-forward cocktail menus with an emphasis on mixology, seasonal ingredients, and experiential presentation.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of bartenders and beverage supervisors, instilling a culture of creativity, consistency, and hospitality excellence.
  • Build strong partnerships with local and national vendors, distributors, and brand reps to ensure access to premium, on-brand selections.
  • Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and cost controls to maximize profitability while maintaining elevated standards.
  • Collaborate with F&B, events, and marketing teams to develop signature beverage experiences, nightlife activations, and promotional programming.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Represent the hotel and beverage outlets in media, brand collaborations, and local community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership in beverage or bar operations within high-end hotels, restaurants, or nightlife venues.
  • Pre-opening or opening experience in a lifestyle or boutique hotel strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of cocktail trends, spirits, wine, and mixology techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage costs, vendors, and inventory systems.
  • Strong leadership, training, and team development skills.
  • Creative mindset with a pulse on the LA hospitality and nightlife landscape.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.
