Description
SUMMARYThe Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional needed service to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Greet customers in a timely, friendly and communicate to determine the nature of the mechanical problem.
- Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications, using maintenance menus.
- If additional work is needed, explain the details to the customers, including the additional cost and time consideration.
- Follow up progress of each repair order during the day. Contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised. Record changes on repair order in approved fashion.
- Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process & appointments and return phone calls promptly. Deliver vehicles to customers and answer any questions.
QUALIFICATIONS- General knowledge of mechanical operations.
- Sales experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Must pass a drug test
- Must pass a background screening
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- ASE certification preferred.
- General mechanical skills.
- Valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.
- Manual dexterity.
