We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. This role is based either in our Parsippany, NJ or New York City office, following a hybrid work schedule of two days in the office and three days remote.



Summary:

This role is essential in managing the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance, communication, and support across the organization.



Key Responsibilities:


• Manage the administration of all employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, commuter, COBRA, FSA, HSA, and 401(k).


• Lead the annual open enrollment process, provide clear communication, accurate support, and ensure timely completion.


• Oversee onboarding and offboarding benefits processes, including new hire enrollments and COBRA administration, utilizing the ADP system.


• Reconcile benefits invoices monthly to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and vendor agreements.


• Conduct training sessions for new hires and current employees to educate on benefits options and enrollment procedures.


• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing timely and accurate assistance.


• Partner closely with HR and payroll teams to ensure seamless coordination and streamlined operations.


• Ensure compliance with all federal and state benefits regulations and maintain up-to-date records and documentation.



Qualifications:


• A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology or a related field is preferred.


• 3+ years of experience in employee benefits administration.


• Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, ACA, etc.).


• Proficiency with HRIS systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.


• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
